What is PageSpeed Insights?
PageSpeed Insights analyzes a web page’s performance and presents diagnostic information. Reports can include real-user field data where available and a controlled lab test. Those sources answer related questions but are collected in different ways.

You can use the public entry point without an account for basic browsing or the available public tool. Sign in when you need account-based features or when the selected action asks for it.

- Enter the complete public page URL.
- Review mobile and desktop results separately.
- Distinguish field measurements from the lab report, then identify a specific actionable issue.
A practical way to use PageSpeed Insights
Test representative pages, including a content page and a key conversion page. Record the URL, device view, and test date when comparing runs. Prioritize changes that address user experience and a diagnosed bottleneck rather than chasing a single score.
Troubleshooting
A page has no field data or lab results differ between runs.
Field data requires sufficient eligible observations. Lab measurements can vary with test conditions. Compare several observations and inspect the detailed metrics before drawing a conclusion from one score.
Common questions
Do I need a Google account to run it?
The public analysis tool can be used without signing in. It needs a page it can fetch; private dashboards generally are not suitable test targets.
Do I have to sign in first?
Public access and account features are different. Start with the Open button; if your chosen action needs an account, the destination will prompt you there.
Do I need an account with The Login Link?
No. This directory does not require registration. The Open button takes you to the service; any account credentials are entered there.
