What is Google Earth Engine?
Earth Engine is a geospatial analysis platform with a browser Code Editor. It provides access to datasets and server-side processing tools for research and other eligible work. It is different from the visual exploration experience in Google Earth.
Open the right destination
Use the account associated with the work you want to open. If Google selects another account automatically, switch using its profile menu. Complete the destination’s identity checks and any required account setup.
Before you start
Your first useful task
- Open the Code Editor and select a configured Cloud project.
- Inspect a suitable dataset and a small example script.
- Set a clear region and time range before running a larger analysis or export.
A practical way to use Google Earth Engine
Document dataset versions, dates, projection choices, and processing steps. Start with a small area to understand results before expanding the task. A visually plausible map still needs methodological checks.
Troubleshooting
The editor opens but computation or export fails.
Review project registration, authorization, dataset access, and the task’s resource requirements. Inspect the error and task status rather than repeatedly starting the same large operation.
Common questions
Is this just another view of Google Earth?
No. Earth Engine is for geospatial computation and analysis. Google Earth is a separate place-exploration application.
Why does the direct link still ask me to sign in?
The shortcut reaches the application entry point. It cannot carry your Google session between browsers, grant permissions, or bypass verification. Follow the sign-in instructions on the destination service.
Do I need an account with The Login Link?
No. This directory does not require registration. The Open button takes you to the service; any account credentials are entered there.
