What is Google Takeout?
Takeout creates exports of supported data from a Google account. It is useful for obtaining a portable copy of selected information. An export request, the downloadable archive, and importing that archive elsewhere are separate stages.
Open the right destination
Use the account associated with the work you want to open. If Google selects another account automatically, switch using its profile menu. Complete the destination’s identity checks and any required account setup.
Before you start
Your first useful task
- Choose the correct account and select the products to export.
- Review the available formats and delivery options.
- Download the completed export and inspect its contents before relying on it.
A practical way to use Google Takeout
Start with the data you actually need so the export is easier to review and store. Keep the archive in an appropriate location and record its date. A later account change will not update a previously downloaded copy.
Troubleshooting
An export is incomplete or a product is unavailable.
Review the export details and any notices. Availability can depend on the product and managed-account policies; check the relevant service when an expected dataset is absent.
Common questions
Does requesting an export delete the original data?
Exporting a copy is separate from deleting information from the account. Use the specific product or account controls if deletion is your intended task.
Why does the direct link still ask me to sign in?
The shortcut reaches the application entry point. It cannot carry your Google session between browsers, grant permissions, or bypass verification. Follow the sign-in instructions on the destination service.
Do I need an account with The Login Link?
No. This directory does not require registration. The Open button takes you to the service; any account credentials are entered there.
